Bee or not Bee ?

Nous avons le plaisir de vous proposer un nouveau dossier sur le crop circle que l'on appelle Bee ou l'Abeille. Sans prendre de grands risques nous l'annonçons maintenant comme une formation présentant un haut niveau d'étrangeté (authentique est un terme à banir)". Nous pensons avoir réuni suffisamment de preuves et nous excluons définitivement les "plaisantins" équipés de planches dans cette affaire. L'Abeille est apparue soudainement au pied de la colline de Milk Hill, sous le Cheval Blanc, dans la nuit du 25 au 26 juin 2004. William Betts qui se trouvait à ce moment là dans le champ voisin, l'a découverte au petit matin et il fut le premier, semble-t-il, à y mettre les pieds et à la photographier. Voici les deux dossiers que nous avons déjà publiés en juin :

Remarquable par son style et par les circonstances de sa découverte, nous avons décidé William et moi d'y consacrer beaucoup de temps lors de notre séjour sur les lieux. C'est donc en cet endroit que nous avons fait le plus de rencontres et surtout le plus de recherches.
Les photos que vous allez voir dans ce dossier ont été prises du 23 au 28 juillet 2004 par beau et mauvais temps. La formation avait donc un mois d'existence, elle avait déjà subi le passage de nombreux visiteurs (des cars entiers parfois) et de bonnes tempêtes climatiques. Vous comprendrez l'importance de ces petits détails au fil de votre visite.
Pour compléter cette galerie photo, nous mettrons à disposition des clips vidéos et des échantillons prélevés sur le terrain. Ces derniers sont destinés aux scientifiques qui voudront les analyser. Ces échantillons leur seront proposés gratuitement, sans contre-partie. La procédure à suivre pour se les procurer anonymement sera expliquée plus tard.

On the 26 and 27 July I returned to the Bee formation I had visited early on the morning of its arrival a month previously. I was looking for further proof of its authenticity, i.e. that it was not man-made. I had at the top of my list to look for evidence of a micro-wave, or similar energy which would have affected the plants in some way usually resulting in bent and blown nodes. As the energy seems to be more intense in tight spaces like sharp corners and 'grape shots' I went first to investigate the three small circles which appear to be projections from the Bee's head. As I had anticipated all had stalks with blown nodes, the furthest from the head having the most. Here every other stem seemed to have expulsion cavities or other anomalies along their lengths.
I went back the next day after hearing that dead flies had been found stuck by their tongues to the wheat ears in parts of the formation. (thanks Bart and Valentine!) I was amazed to find that this was not just an isolated occurrence but appeared to be general on many standing stalks within the formation, particularly in the head region and tuft features. The flies for the most part were as fresh as the day they were stuck there weeks earlier with wings, body and legs all resisting the passage of visitors, sun, rain, wind and the 3 day long storm which hit the area in early July. I carefully broke off the ear holding a beautiful clear-winged, black and white striped fly (photo 1238 ) and within hours this fly had shrivelled to a nothing . It eventually lost its grip on the perch from which it had resisted so much battering for so long and fell into a poor little heap on my computer desk.
There is no doubt in my mind that this formation is genuine and stands apart from all the sorry hoaxes that have appeared since.
