“The military don’t want us here!”
Military helicopters, crop circle and luminous sphere

Military helicopters over a crop circle

Documentary excerpt featuring Colin Andrews, Charlie Mallett and Ian Christopher. The footage shows military helicopters flying over a crop circle, apparently following a small luminous sphere close to the ground.
Witnesses feel that the military do not want civilian observers on site, even though they seem highly interested in what is happening in the field.

What the footage shows
Colin Andrews recounts an investigation into a crop circle near Alton Barnes. Researchers — including a French scientist working for the U.S. government — arrive to document the formation. Very quickly, a military helicopter flies in at very low altitude, performs manoeuvres described as intimidating, and appears to film the group on the ground.

A second aircraft (Lynx / Gazelle type) then arrives and positions itself over the field. In the footage, investigators notice a small luminous sphere moving close to the ground, which the helicopter seems to search for and follow, sometimes with a halo or bright point appearing beneath the aircraft.

Andrews later mentions other cases where military helicopters pursue luminous spheres over fields, stressing that these overflights mainly target the non-identified formations: according to him, the military seem able to distinguish real cases from obvious hoaxes and do not bother with clearly human-made designs.

General tone in the comments
The reception is very warm for Eyes On Cinema:
– Many welcome the channel’s return and call this “one of its most interesting videos”.
– Several viewers are struck by the helicopters + orb combination, seeing it as a “key moment” in the subject.
– Others recall that older footage showing luminous spheres forming crop circles disappeared from YouTube, reinforcing the idea of sensitive or inconvenient material.

On the nature of crop circles
– Many commenters insist it is “impossible” for some designs to be made “by a few guys with boards and ropes” overnight, especially in exposed fields.
– Some describe the formations as true works of art, far beyond a simple hoax.
– Several personal accounts mention circles where the plants were laid like a “woven mat”, incompatible with rough mechanical action.

On the role of the military
– Numerous viewers highlight that deploying multiple helicopters, flying low and aggressively, does not match a “village prank”.
– Many see it as strong evidence that authorities take the phenomenon seriously, even if the official narrative remains sceptical.
– Some go further, suggesting the military may sometimes participate directly or possess unreleased data.

More speculative reactions
– A few imagine the luminous spheres as “interstellar pens” drawing in the fields.
– Others suggest the formations may contain technical diagrams or craft designs, referencing 3D modelling attempts.
– Many reflect on the ridicule strategy: that the subject has been deliberately mocked to hide something deeper.

In summary, this clip is widely viewed as a key document: a rare convergence of visible military presence, witnesses on the ground, and a recorded luminous anomaly — continuing to fuel debate on the non-human component of the phenomenon.

Crabwood 2002 – Binary message
“Beware the bearers of false gifts…”

Crabwood 2002 – Eyes On Cinema video button
Crabwood crop circle (2002) – face + binary disc

2002:
At the time, nobody talked about the condition of the stalks or plank marks.
If this formation was made over several days, it was done out of sight, far from the epicentre, with probable technological assistance.
No field report describes the true condition of the plants. A post-9/11 message released alongside a rather simplistic Hollywood film (Signs).
A myth crafted to mislead you… for decades!

On 15 August 2002, a spectacular crop circle appeared at Crabwood (Winchester, Hampshire): a humanoid face accompanied by a huge horizontal-line disc encoding a binary message decoded by ASCII specialist Paul Vigay.

What the video shows
The documentary revisits the famous 2002 Crabwood formation: a portrait built like a television raster image, and a coded disc organised in bands of varying density.

The binary message decoded by Paul Vigay reads:

“Beware the bearers of false gifts and their broken promises. Much pain but still time. There is good out there. We oppose deception. Conduit closing.”

Witnesses interviewed on site highlighted:
– the precision of the motif,
– the lack of visible markers from ground level,
– the difficulty of producing such an image in darkness,
– the quality of the lay before footfall damage.

General reaction in the comments
– Many describe this formation as “impossible to create in a few hours”.
– Most express lasting fascination: “chills”, “masterpiece”, “impossible to replicate”.

On the binary message
– Many viewers interpret it as a warning about “false gifts”, a theme common in modern UFO lore.
– Others mention the reference to a base-twelve numeric system.
– One viewer highlights the line “We oppose deception” as a pointed statement against manipulation — human or otherwise.

On the hoax hypothesis
– A few sceptics see it as a promotional stunt tied to the release of Signs (UK release one week later).
– Others disagree: no evidence has ever been produced of a human team capable of creating such a large, clean pattern overnight.
– Several recall the technical challenges:
thick hedges, almost zero visibility, intact stalks, no team traces.
– A viewer notes: “The stalks were laid like a woven mat.”

On the significance of the motif
– Some compare the disc’s precision to a giant CD-ROM placed in a field.
– Others feel the face seems more like a warning than a teaching.

Summary
For many, Crabwood 2002 remains:
– one of the most iconic crop circles ever recorded,
– a case where aesthetics, technique and message converge,
– a formation whose complexity continues to fuel debate — with still no detailed report on the condition of the stalks!

CNN – “The Age of Disclosure”
UAPs, NHIs and a contested 80-year cover-up

YouTube button – CNN
CNN – The Age of Disclosure

CNN segment on the documentary “The Age of Disclosure”, in which high-ranking U.S. officials go on record about a possible “80-year global cover-up” surrounding UAPs and non-human intelligence. The tone remains measured, but the topic touches what several commenters describe as “one of the greatest revelations in human history.”

Overall reception
Most comments are very positive. Many describe it as a “next-level documentary”, on par with James Fox’s work, and say they watched it with friends or family in “watch parties.” Some write that it was “the best money spent in a long time” and recommend it to “the entire human population.”

Sense of historical revelation
Several viewers see the film as a major step in the long “drip-drip disclosure” process. Hearing current and former officials speak directly on camera gives them a feeling of more official validation. Some feel that it prepares the public for a “final level of disclosure”, with potential consequences for how we define what it means to be human.

Price and access
A recurring criticism is the high price of the documentary, especially for a topic many see as global public interest. Viewers complain that it is not available in every country on Prime and call for a release on major platforms like Netflix or, ideally, for free on YouTube. Others openly say they are waiting for an unofficial upload.

Media and governments
Many comments criticize legacy media for having ignored the subject for decades, or for never pushing government officials with serious questions. Several insist this is not a partisan issue but a global one. Some ask why figures like Rubio or Stratton are not interviewed more often on prime-time news about what they know.

Personal testimonies and “awakening”
A number of people share their own sightings (a childhood encounter, strange objects in the sky in the 1980s or 1990s, etc.). For them, the documentary confirms a long-held intuition: “we are not alone.” Some speak of an “awakening” or a necessary step toward a broader cultural shift.

Security and risk concerns
One detailed comment argues that if non-human intelligences are monitoring our military and nuclear infrastructure, refusing to acknowledge the phenomenon publicly could be a strategic risk. The idea is that while nations focus on outmaneuvering one another, they may be losing precious time to understand a potential non-human actor. This interpretation is speculative, but clearly present in the thread.

Internal critiques
A few voices find the documentary very U.S.-centric, framed by questions like “what if the other countries get the tech?”, whereas the issue itself goes far beyond military competition. Others feel that, for people who already follow the topic closely, the film remains quite introductory for the price.

In summary
The overall mood is a mix of enthusiasm, relief and frustration:
– enthusiasm, because many finally feel a form of public validation;
– relief, because the taboo around the subject seems to be fading;
– frustration, because of the cost, access limitations and the sense that institutions and major media are still far behind the conversation actually happening among the public.

NASA – Astronaut Nichole Ayers (ISS)
Red sprite and “gigantic jets” above thunderstorms

Button to Nichole Ayers’ X account
Red sprite seen from the International Space Station

On her X account, NASA astronaut Nichole Ayers shared a rare image of a red sprite (and gigantic jets) captured from the ISS above storms between Mexico and the United States.

What exactly are we seeing?
These transient luminous events (TLEs) form above thunderclouds during intense electrical activity. From orbit, astronauts have a unique vantage point to capture them and provide data for researchers.

FULL VIDEO ON REDDIT:
NASA astronaut on ISS caught red sprite over Mexico and the U.S. – Reddit

Reactions to the video
The post has triggered hundreds of enthusiastic and curious comments:

– Many call it an “incredible view” and say they had “never seen anything like it.”
– Some argue that images like this should be highlighted much more by major media.
– Several users share their own sightings of strange lights or unexplained phenomena in the sky.
– Discussions sometimes drift toward NASA’s communication strategy and the scientific importance of these events.

Overall, the mood is a blend of fascination, wonder and scientific curiosity.

Scientific context
– A red sprite is a very brief red flash in the upper atmosphere.
Gigantic jets are upward electrical discharges connecting thunderstorms to the ionosphere.

Why do scientists care about TLEs?
– They last only a few milliseconds.
– They reveal the global electrical coupling between storms and the upper atmosphere.
– They are hard to study from the ground, which makes orbital imagery especially valuable.

Why Nichole Ayers’ X account is worth following
– Regular photos of storms, auroras and atmospheric phenomena seen from the ISS.
– A rare visual context that complements ground-based observations.
– A very intuitive way to connect Earth weather and space weather.

ESA – Flying through the biggest solar storm ever recorded
Simulating an extreme solar storm

ESA website button
ESA extreme solar storm simulation

The European Space Agency (ESA) describes how its teams simulated a Carrington-type solar storm ahead of the launch of the Sentinel-1D satellite. A realistic stress test to probe satellite survival, collision risk management, and the resilience of our orbital infrastructure.

Article title
Flying through the biggest solar storm ever recorded – ESA / Space Safety / Space Weather.

Simulated scenario
ESA teams in Darmstadt rehearsed an extreme scenario inspired by the 1859 Carrington event: a giant solar flare, followed by a stream of energetic particles and then a massive coronal mass ejection (CME) striking Earth.

Three key phases
Phase 1: an X45-class flare disrupts communications, radar systems, GPS navigation and ground stations, especially at high latitudes.
Phase 2: minutes later, an intense flux of particles (protons, electrons, etc.) starts causing errors in satellite electronics (bit flips, potential permanent failures).
Phase 3: the CME triggers a major geomagnetic storm: the atmosphere swells, drag increases sharply, collision risks rise and power grids on the ground come under severe stress.

Satellite impact
– atmospheric drag can increase by several hundred percent,
– conjunction data and collision forecasts become less reliable,
– GNSS performance degrades, star trackers go “blind”, and on-board electronics operate under constant stress.

Purpose of the exercise
To test the ability of mission teams to keep satellites safe, coordinate multiple missions at once and make decisions under deep uncertainty. ESA stresses that the question is not if such an event will happen, but when it will occur.

Preparing for the future
The article also introduces Europe’s upcoming space weather tools:
– the D3S (Distributed Space Weather Sensor System) network to monitor the near-Earth space environment,
– the Vigil mission, which will observe the Sun from Lagrange Point L5 from 2031 onwards, detecting hazardous events before they rotate into direct Earth view and buying precious time to protect spacecraft and ground infrastructure.

Her stated goal is to make space weather forecasts as familiar as the nightly weather report, so that people can anticipate disruptions instead of being caught off guard.

This live forecast was created by and for her Patreon community — without their support, briefings like this would not be possible — and is now available to a wider audience.

Chladni Patterns
Interactive Simulations

Chladni Patterns preview

This interactive resource shows how sound and vibration give rise to visible geometric shapes — the famous Chladni figures. It revisits the 18th-century experiments of Ernst Chladni and connects them with modern mathematics and physics through real-time simulations of square and circular plates.

Basic Principle
When a plate vibrates, its surface divides into regions moving in opposite directions, separated by nodal lines that remain still. Fine sand gathers along these stationary lines, revealing elegant geometric patterns — the Chladni figures.

Historical Background
In 1787, Ernst Chladni demonstrated that sound travels in waves by stroking a metal plate with a violin bow covered in sand. At resonance, the sand arranged itself along the nodal lines, making vibration modes visible for the first time.

Square vs. Circular Plates
For a square plate, modes can be described by sine/cosine functions labeled by two integers (m, n). For a circular plate, shapes are expressed in polar coordinates using Bessel functions, like a drumhead.

Mathematical Model
Patterns are eigenmodes of an elastic plate governed by the Kirchhoff equation (biharmonic operator + boundary conditions). Each figure = eigenvalue (frequency) + eigenfunction (shape).

Interactive Simulation
The site approximates figures via a sum of sinusoidal sources (frequency, phase, stiffness). Open the controls, change plate size or colors, and save your favorite 2D/3D patterns.

X5.1 Solar Flare SolarHam

On November 11, 2025, the Sun unleashed an X5.1-class solar flare — one of the strongest of the current solar cycle. The event was detected around Active Region AR4274 and peaked at 10:04 UTC, accompanied by a bright, Earth-directed coronal mass ejection (CME).

BANG! The 6th strongest solar flare of the current solar cycle in terms of peak X-Ray flux, but possibly the most energetic, was detected around AR 4274 peaking at 10:04 UTC (Nov 11). The event reached X5.1 with a wide area of coronal dimming already evident and a bright Earth-directed halo CME now emerging. Energetic proton levels are also on the rise following the flare and a radiation storm warning is now in effect. This event will likely prolong an already expected geomagnetic storm and could push it to the Severe (G4) threshold in the days ahead. Stay tuned to SolarHam.com for more updates.

16 years ago – UFO on CAM Making CROP CIRCLES

Cute, flying over the fields… and yes, it’s an admitted fake.

Just like the “alien” from Crabwood (2002) that drew attention away from the key 2001 formations, these “light balls” — real or staged — are often used to confuse the public. This video (~16 years old) mainly shows how easy it was to create something convincing.

Focusing on orbs alone isn’t enough. Go full investigator mode: source, witnesses, metadata, shot sequence, shadows, weather. Analysis tools often spot fakes, and advanced AIs do it even better — even when the fake comes from them. Like in photography: you can’t pass digital for analog.

Recreating a full “Alton Barnes Cloud” scenario today would take a lot more than a quick trick.

In this film, Robert Hulse looks closely at stem condition. It was the first genuinely interesting formation in years.

Across the formation, the stems at the nodes bend left, right, and along the axis — a pattern closely matching the natural lodging that William photographed in 2023 in a French field affected by strong winds. See Part 26 of his book, which highlights the same disposition of laid stems.
Both examples exhibit the same triple-directional scheme observed in wind-flattened crops, offering a useful comparison between natural forces and crop-circle formations.

Board Marks – The Proof

This film by Robert Hulse, “Board Marks – The Proof”, shows the marks left by stomping boards used to flatten cereal stems in man-made formations.

These marks typically appear about ten hours after board impact and show as a fine white line, visible only on unripe green crop.
This demonstration provides a concrete way to distinguish formations made by human means from those that show no signs of mechanical shock.
The crop circle appeared well away from the phenomenon’s usual “epicentre” in Wiltshire.

Farmer Albert Bull (1990): two vertical “tubes” in a field

YouTube video button
Albert Bull — testimony of vertical columns

Testimony of an English farmer: two “perfectly straight” vertical columns appearing one after the other, visible for several minutes. Some see a possible link with crop-circle formation.

On an overcast day, Albert Bull observed two vertical “tubes” forming in his field one after the other: first at close range, then in the opposite corner. At their base, dust and debris rotated in a ring at high speed without being drawn upward. The columns—straight, with a constant cross-section—remained visible for several minutes before dissipating. Having worked this land for decades, Bull says he had never seen anything like it.

Commentators have suggested an energy-beam hypothesis: when defocused it could produce such columns; when focused, it might press cereals flat (a hypothesis often mentioned regarding some crop circles). A possible polarization effect is also noted (the impression of “seeing through” the base).

Chilbolton & Crabwood (2001–2002)
Paul Vigay’s decoding

YouTube video button
Chilbolton & Crabwood — Paul Vigay

Two now-iconic formations: a halftone-style “face” near Chilbolton (2001), then in 2002 at Crabwood, a face and a “CD” etched with a binary ASCII message that Paul Vigay attempted to decode.

Our view: we consider both the “face” and the “data ribbon” to be staged — an orchestrated diversion. This view is based on tangible elements and an in-depth inquiry, presented in the series “2001, l’Odyssée d’une réponse”.

2001 — Chilbolton (Hampshire): near the radio telescope, an initially “chaotic” pattern reveals—under low sunlight—a halftone-rendered face. Three days later, a “data panel” appears echoing the Arecibo message (1974), but with major divergences (emphasis on silicon, a big-headed humanoid, changes in the DNA helix, a different planetary location, the telescope drawing replaced, etc.).

2002 — Crabwood (near Winchester): an “alien” face and a CD-like disc carrying a binary message. Parsing the byte structure, Paul Vigay reads in ASCII: “Beware the bearers of false gifts and their broken promises. Much pain but still time. There is good out there. We oppose deception. Conduit closing.”.

These episodes continue to fuel debate: a sophisticated non-human response, or a particularly elaborate hoax?

Oliver Castle (1996): investigating a controversial video

YouTube button
Oliver Castle — orbs and formation

A cult sequence: two “balls of light” sweep over a field just before a crop circle appears at Oliver Castle. Long dismissed as a “hoax,” the video still fuels a sharp debate.

This now-classic clip shows two “balls of light” crossing a field before a crop circle suddenly appears at Oliver Castle. Long presented as a “hoax” by National Geographic and others, it remains at the center of an intense debate.

In this YouTube video (“NG crop circle UFO debunking: debunked”), Chris Everard and other commenters point out that:
• National Geographic did not show the full original footage, but a shortened, edited excerpt.
• The “pseudo-scientific” arguments used to discredit the clip are disputed (insufficient CGI in 1999, biological/electromagnetic indicators observed in genuine formations, eyewitness accounts, 3D artists’ opinions).
• Subtle details — such as a communication band between the lights — are highlighted by researchers and filmmakers.

Bottom line: more than a decade on, the video is still a major flashpoint between skeptics and enthusiasts. For some, it’s an edit; for others, it’s one of the rare recordings of the phenomenon in action.

Extract from a BBC TV interview with Pat Delgado during the first night of Operation Blackbird, an official project monitoring crop circles in the UK. Faced with a journalist trying to push the topic toward aliens or the paranormal...

...Delgado remains cautious: he refers to an unexplained energy, a kind of control still poorly understood but, in his view, real.
A revealing example of how mainstream media already handled the phenomenon. During this BBC broadcast, the journalist insists on framing the event as something “strange,” even extraterrestrial. Delgado, more reserved, points out that traditional physics seems to have reached its limits — and that the phenomenon may be driven by a form of natural or intelligent energy not yet identified.

ball lightning Alberta 2025

Captured in July 2025, this astonishing footage may show a rare example of ball lightning, a phenomenon still largely unexplained. Eyewitnesses describe a fireball floating in the air, just after a powerful lightning strike.

On July 3, 2025, a couple in Alberta (Canada) captured a strange sight on camera: a fireball hovering about 20 feet (6 meters) above the ground right after a violent lightning strike.

“After a strong lightning bolt, we saw a ball of fire just float in the air,” said eyewitness Ed Pardy. “It stayed there, round and steady.”

The phenomenon, often linked by scientists to ball lightning, remains mysterious and extremely difficult to reproduce.

A meteorologist interviewed in the report confirmed that such events are “extremely rare” and might provide clues about poorly understood forms of atmospheric energy.

TRANSIENT LUMINOUS EVENT – FROM SPACE

X link Nichole Ayers
sprite photographed from ISS by Nichole Ayers

In July 2025, astronaut Nichole “Vapor” Ayers captured a rare event from the ISS: a gigantic jet, also known as a sprite, above a thunderstorm over Mexico and the United States.

Sprites, or Transient Luminous Events (TLEs), are rare flashes of light that appear above thunderstorms, in the upper atmosphere.

They are visible only for a brief moment, usually from space or from select observation points on the ground. Their fleeting nature and high altitude (up to 90 km) make them very difficult to study.

Nichole Ayers’ photo was praised by the scientific community. It shows a perfectly centered gigantic jet, proving that exceptional conditions — and thousands of attempts — are sometimes needed to capture such a phenomenon.

This image reinforces the idea that certain rare luminous events still elude modern scientific understanding.

This is where the Galaxy of Milk Hill appeared in 2001.

This high-definition drone flight, filmed at dusk, offers an exceptional overview of the Vale of Pewsey, an iconic area of Wiltshire. According to the videographer, the footage captures, among other features:

  • the "Oare Pavilion",
  • the manor of a prominent family,
  • hills and footpaths often linked to crop circle appearances.

The videographer notes that landmarks seemed to emerge spontaneously during the flight, as if a "view from above" was guiding the camera toward significant locations.

Note: According to the filmmaker, this territory is among the richest in “authentic” formations since 1990. The video could be a valuable reference for geographically locating the phenomenon’s “central hub”.

CHILBOLTON OBSERVATORY – UK SPACE MONITORING

Chilbolton Radio Telescope

The Chilbolton Observatory, opened in 1967, plays a key role in atmospheric and space observations in the UK. This is where the mysterious Face of Chilbolton appeared in a nearby field in 2001.

This facility hosts instruments such as a 25-meter steerable radar and the UK station of the LOFAR radio telescope network.
The Chilbolton Observatory, located in Hampshire and managed by the STFC, includes various systems for atmospheric research, satellite tracking, radio frequencies, and astronomy. It remains a strategic site for British science.

However, in 2001, nearby fields gained international attention after two of the most astonishing crop circles appeared there: the famous Face and the binary message, allegedly a response to the Arecibo signal sent in 1974. The close proximity between these formations and the Chilbolton antennas continues to intrigue researchers, enthusiasts, and skeptics alike.

1191 – CONFESSIONS OF A CROP CIRCLE MAKER

YouTube video button
Confessions Crop Circle Maker

A rare testimony from behind the scenes of the phenomenon.

In this intriguing account, Citizen D, a former crop circle maker in the Wessex fields (England), shares revelations that challenge all conventional beliefs about the phenomenon.

For over forty years, crop circles have sparked intense debates: art, hoax, or messages from another dimension? Citizen D asserts that they are neither extraterrestrial nor simple human pranks, but the result of invisible forces acting through people.

According to him, some makers experience strange compulsions, uncanny time synchronizations, ghostly visions — as if guided by an external force.

Now retired and a writer, he reveals through anonymous testimonies that the boundary between creation and creator is becoming blurred. Crop circles might be a mirror between human consciousness and the unknown.

In short: this testimony presents a hybrid perspective. Crop circles may be human in execution, but not necessarily in origin. The makers would be channels, not initiators. It's no longer about a hoax or alien contact — but about altered reality, influenced consciousness, and inhabited creation.

We are for the most part in total agreement with the opinions being presented here, especially as in most cases these are backed up with facts and evidence. The only point where we would differ is where right at the beginning Robert and David state, when asked by Richard Hall what countries the crop circles are appearing in, that they are appearing all over the world. We would take issue with this as we believe that the genuine phenomenon is for the great majority of the time confined to the English counties of Wiltshire, Hampshire and Kent, above the chalk aquifers present below soil level in these regions.

Crop circleS of 2002 & 2003

Peter Sorensen's filming over the fields of Wiltshire during the 2002 and 2003 crop circle seasons.

His aerial views of the 2003 North Down 'Sun' are stunning, its really worth freezing the film, full screen, at 32 mins 42 secs to appreciate the enormity of the task if this were to be even attempted by a hoaxing team.  This is the crop circle which features in the Culture-crop video 'When Chance Becomes Entangled'  and discussed here in chapter 4 of the 'Crop Circle Adventure'.

Peter Sorensen was on the ground and in the air in Wiltshire England,...

filming the crop circles for most of the 1990's, and this year, 1996, is a very special year for the crop circle story as we have arrived at the moment of the appearance of the great Julia Set formations of Stonehenge and Windmill Hill. Sorensen's videos are exceptional as they document real lives lived around the crop circles thirty years ago, and they are a beautiful snap-shot of the period, a time we will never see again.
As noted in the information below the video the film is of 'YouTube quality', meaning not as good as the original. You are however invited to buy a copy of the original DVD version direct from Peter Sorensen at his email address.  Just a caveat here; as it has been many years since I have been in touch with Peter Sorensen I am not up to date with his present personal circumstances, so its worth checking by email first before ordering.

The Antikythera Mechanism by Mathias Buttet

In this interview, Mathias Buttet (Director of R&D at Hublot) shares his passion and his investigation into the Antikythera Mechanism—a Greek device discovered in 1901 in a shipwreck dating back to around 200 BC.

This “first calculator” of humanity used a complex system of gears to predict astronomical phenomena: lunar cycles, eclipses, planetary positions, and famous cycles like Metonic (19 years) and Saros (18 years).
Buttet explains how the mechanism anticipates and calculates these cycles with exceptional mechanical precision, sometimes even surpassing modern watchmakers. The device intrigues by its technological advancement and isolation (no equivalent has been found), raising questions about the loss of ancient knowledge.
The video also explores the transmission and disappearance of knowledge, respect for the ancients, and the mystery surrounding the origin of this expertise. It also explains how Hublot recreated this mechanism as a modern watch, emphasizing the importance of preserving such heritage. Finally, the discussion highlights the parallels between these cycles and astronomical markers found at sites like Stonehenge, showing that this level of knowledge was mastered thousands of years ago.

Why this matters:
The Antikythera Mechanism proves that the ancients were able to identify and predict complex cycles through careful observation and technique—long before modern science. This knowledge, sometimes forgotten, echoes current questions about cycles (like Metonic or Saros) in our understanding of crop circles and sacred astronomy.

Joe Rogan Experience (May 27, 2025) with AJ Gentile, creator of the channel The Why Files, specializing in strange stories blending mystery, skepticism, and humor. The topic of crop circles is discussed.

Who is AJ Gentile?
Former TV professional turned YouTuber after the pandemic.
Unique style: captivating narratives on the unexplained (aliens, lost civilizations, conspiracy theories) with a touch of humor and a half-curious, half-skeptical stance.

Operation Highjump
Military mission in Antarctica post-WWII, led by Admiral Byrd.
Theories: green landscapes in Antarctica, strange creatures, flying saucers, underground city.
Gentile acknowledges the fictional aspect but highlights gray areas like the 3-hour radio blackout.

HAARP and Project Blue Beam
HAARP: officially for ionosphere studies, suspected of being an energy weapon.
Blue Beam: fake celestial apparitions (Messiah, UFOs) projected to impose a global government.
Gentile questions the feasibility of holograms, but remains open due to tech advancements.

Underwater bases & UAPs
Rumors of underwater bases (e.g., off Malibu), blurred on Google Maps.
Theory: UAPs come from the oceans, not space.
Hypothesis of a parallel civilization evolving secretly.

Crop Circles
Gentile was skeptical, but found:
– Physical anomalies (stems altered by microwaves, metallic spheres).
– Military operations to discredit researchers.
Mirage Men mentioned: ufology manipulation by agencies.
(The term "Mirage Men" was popularized by Mark Pilkington, a British writer and researcher specialized in ufology and disinformation. He is the author of the 2010 book Mirage Men: An Adventure into Paranoia, Espionage, Psychological Warfare, and UFOs.)
He defends a minority of authentic cases, concentrated in areas like Wiltshire.

Forgotten civilizations
Example: the alleged Egyptian city in the Grand Canyon (Kinkaid case).
Sites like Baalbek, Malta, Cappadocia: technically unexplained remains.

The Moon: artificial satellite?
Theory that the Moon was "placed" by an advanced civilization.
Shape, size, distance: too perfect?
It could be hollow or harbor secrets.
